Check it. Draft it. Mail it.

Report Recon flags the problems and writes the letter. You sign it and mail it. Letters and the tracker are part of a paid plan.

  1. Check

Report Recon flags entries that contradict themselves.

For example, an account marked paid in full with $2,450 past due. You check each one against your records.

  2. Draft

Report Recon drafts the letter. Nothing goes out until you sign.

Pick the entries to dispute and Report Recon drafts the letter to the bureau. You edit it, and nothing goes out until you sign it.

  3. Mail

You mail it. The tracker counts the 40 days.

After you mail your letter and mark it mailed, the tracker counts the 40 days for you. Send it with a delivery receipt so you know it got there. The bureau decides how it handles your dispute.

Credit dispute questions, answered

Learn what happens after you upload, what costs credits, and what the software can do.

What does Report Recon look for in my credit report?

Report Recon scans your credit report for potential reporting problems such as inaccurate balances, incorrect account statuses, late-payment reporting errors, duplicate accounts, outdated accounts, and potential FCRA issues.

Do I need an account to analyze a credit report?

No. You can upload a PDF credit report for a free analysis without creating an account. Create an account when you want to keep your work, generate dispute letters, and manage your dispute activity.

Can the platform help draft credit bureau dispute letters?

Yes. Choose findings to include in a bureau-specific dispute letter with supporting details and relevant legal references. Download the PDF, review it, sign it, and mail it yourself.

Will the bureau think a credit repair company sent my letter?

Report Recon never contacts the bureaus for you. Each letter is drafted from the findings you selected on your own report, and you review it, sign it, and mail it yourself, in your own name and from your own address. Bureaus sometimes answer reused form letters with a notice asking whether someone else is disputing on your behalf. A letter built from your own report and your own records is not a reused form.

Which credit reports can I upload?

Upload one bureau PDF from AnnualCreditReport.com. Report Recon analyzes it and helps draft bureau-specific dispute letters. SmartCredit and IdentityIQ support is planned.

What types of credit report violations does Report Recon detect?

Report Recon checks for factual credit-report inaccuracies, including wrong balances, account statuses, late payments, duplicate accounts, and outdated entries. You can use these findings to dispute errors and seek correction or deletion. Arbitration Analysis reviews the records in more depth to help prepare for a dispute or arbitration.

How are demo credit report uploads handled?

Report Recon uses demo uploads to run the analysis and deletes them within 24 hours. For saved work, review the privacy and retention terms before uploading sensitive documents.

How do credits work for analyses and letters?

Paid plans grant credits each month. Actions such as credit-report analysis, dispute-letter generation, and escalation use a fixed number of credits so you can understand usage before you act.

What is the difference between the Sniper and Pro plans?

Sniper includes up to 5 selected accounts and 3 dispute letters for each credit profile during its billing period. Each selected account counts once. Pro has no account or dispute-letter allowance caps. Credits remain the usage limit.

Will Report Recon support FDCPA debt-collection disputes?

FDCPA analysis is not available in this launch. Today, Report Recon focuses on factual credit-report inaccuracies, traditional disputes, and Arbitration Analysis.

How does AI credit dispute software work?

AI credit dispute software reads accounts in credit report files, such as AnnualCreditReport.com PDFs, and checks for factual errors. It flags conflicting balances, account statuses, and late-payment records, then drafts bureau-specific dispute letters with relevant Fair Credit Reporting Act references.

Do I need a paid credit monitoring subscription to use Report Recon?

No. Report Recon analyzes official credit report disclosures downloaded directly from AnnualCreditReport.com. You do not need an active or recurring credit monitoring subscription to run analyses or generate dispute letters.

Can credit dispute software guarantee deletions or score increases?

No. Under federal law, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act, no software or credit repair provider can guarantee deletions, score improvements, or specific dispute outcomes. The software helps you identify factual reporting errors and organize statutory dispute packages.

Is Report Recon a law firm?

No. Report Recon is a self-help tool and does not provide legal advice, practice law, or create an attorney-client relationship.
